Un terrible tremblement de terre en Turquie et Syrie

s’est produit le 6 février dernier.

Le lieu du séisme :

Nous sommes au sud de la Turquie avoisinant la Syrie.

Cette image ne donne q’une vue très partielle de la ligne de fracture qui s’étend sur des kilomètres

C’est une zone sismique très active.

Le 1er séisme a été suivi d’une 2ème violente secousse quelques heures plus tard.

La faille béante est impressionnante:

Dans les villes, la plupart des immeubles ( on en dénombre 5000 ) se sont effondrés, ensevelissant les malheureux habitants.

Les secours sont arrivés; pelleteuses et pioches ont été activées pour sauver le maximum de personnes vivantes; malheureusement, chaque jour le nombre de morts a augmenté.

Pluie et neige par endroits rendent la situation précaire.

De nombreux pays proposent leur aide ; la France envoie des pompiers, des secouristes, des chiens de recherche; Paris envoie un hôpital de campagne; de même l’Allemagne, la Grèce…et bien d’autres.

Au bout de 12, 13 jours, des victimes enfermées dans les décombres ont résisté jusqu’à leur sauvetage et échappé ainsi à la mort.

Quand il s’agit d’un enfant, et vivant, les sauveteurs ne cachent pas leur joie.

Les secours s’organisent venant de nombreux pays du monde entier dont la France.

Emergency preparedness supplies. A large pile of supplies to be used in case of a natural disaster (hurricane, flood, earthquake, etc.) including: flashlight, backpack, batteries, water bottles, first aid kit, lantern, radio, can opener, mask.

Ce tremblement de terre a pour origine:

le mouvement des plaques tectoniques, par le glissement de l’une sur l’autre sur une largeur de 2 mètres, ce mouvement ayant été très violent; il s’agit d’un mouvement vers le nord de la plaque tectonique d’Arabie.

C’est visible sur ces photos par la déformation des rails, le décalage au niveau de la route.

45000 morts est le nombre des victimes de ce séisme.
